The first thing you must understand is that your ability to lose body fat AND keep it off has nothing to do with dieting. Diets will never help you to keep the weight off for good. Diets are only a short term answer to lose weight but will never teach you how to keep it off.

The entire purpose of a diet is to give you a meal plan to follow that will allow you to lose body fat. The problem with that meal plan is that there is no way you can include it with your daily routine for a long period of time. It is only a matter of time before you get tired of that meal plan and start to cheat. Once you cheat you will eventually quit the diet. Since you did not learn anything, it is an automatic that you will go back to all your old eating habits.

What you need to do is learn how to incorporate your regular foods into a healthy diet. You can do this by learning WHEN to eat certain foods. By doing that you will be able to still eat those “bad” foods and still lose weight. Since your are only changing when to eat rather than what to eat, you will find that you can very easily keep the weight off for good.
